Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: How much does camp cost?

A: Camp is an all inclusive experience for your teen, and the 13 days of camp comes at a cost of $1,100 + $100 Application Fee. Needs-based tuition assistance is available. Please make sure to indicate your need (if applicable) on your application.

Q: Where will I sleep?

A: At camp we sleep in cabins, where the boys and girls are housed in separate areas. In your cabin you will be joined by your bunkmates who will quickly become your best friends, and your counselors sleep nearby in a side room close to the door (so no raccoons enter ;D) During our camping trip we will set up a tent that you share with your now best friends for two nights... complete with a zipper and rain cover.

Q; What will I eat?

A: At camp we eat in the main dining hall. All food is kosher with a separate meat and milk kitchen. When you wake up the whole camp is filled with a yummy aroma of fresh cooked eggs, pancakes, french toast, hash browns and many more delicious and surprisingly healthy breakfast items. At lunch we have a hearty and satisfying meat meal that followed up by a yummy dinner that puts us to bed full and happy. And if you are still hungry after all of that Camp Or L'Dor staff is known for its bedtime snacks of cookies, crackers, and jelly sandwiches.

Q: What if I have allergies? Or what if I am a vegan or vegetarian?

A: If you are a vegan or a vegetarian we commend you! The kitchen staff will always have a healthy option for you at every meal, no need to worry as we will help support your choices by providing the best meat/dairy/egg/animal-free options just for you! If you have allergies make a note in our health forms and we will make sure to keep you as far away from that item as possible! You should also know that our host camp is a completely nut-free facility too!

Q: Trains, Planes, and Automobiles: How do I get to Camp?

A: Getting to camp is easy as pie (unless you prefer cake)! If you are driving just put the address provided by our staff in your GPS and away you go! If you are flying it's very important that you coordinate your tickets with our Camp Admin. Camp only has one bus that leaves the airport at a specific time and you need to be there on time. But don't worry too much, we know all about travel and airplanes, and we will do our best to help you find the best flight for you. Once you arrive at the airport our counselor team will be there to pick you up, help you with your luggage and lead you to our very awesome camp bus!

Q: Is there a packing list?

A: Yes! Nestled in the Parent Pack is a packing list. It has been recently updated to include a comprehensive list of what campers need. It can also be accessed as a stand-alone document by clicking here.

Q: What about Safety and Nurses?

A: Safety is our number one concern at camp and we take several measures to ensure your safety. In addition to our specially trained staff, our host camp has a large nursing facility that works around the clock. Should you wake up with a sore throat or get a little bug in your eye (true story) the nurses will take great care of you! If you take medication, please note it on the health forms and our staff will make sure you take it on time.
