About
Camp Or L’Dor is a Yeshua-centered, spiritually transformative experience for Jewish teens. We empower young Messianic Jews to grow in their faith, embrace Jewish life, and build lasting friendships within the wider Messianic Jewish community.
Each summer, teens, counselors and staff travel from across the country—and sometimes around the world— to gather for 12 days at camp. We don’t want distance to be a barrier to your camp experience!
Our days start with lively Shacharit services, followed by thought provoking workshops and discussions. In the afternoons camp comes alive with activities like color war, gaga tournaments, zip lining and ropes courses! Evenings often include singing around a bonfire, making s’mores and sharing meaningful times of prayer together.
Camp is framed by two rich Shabbat experiences. We welcome Shabbat with spirited Kabbalat Shabbat and a festive banquet meal, and we close with Havdalah followed by a campfire.
In the middle of the session, campers head out on a 3-day outdoor adventure trip designed to deepen community and create space to encounter G-d in meaningful ways. Many campers say this is their favorite part of camp.
Our Story
In 2009, two New England-based Messianic Jewish congregations brought their youth groups together for an adventure in the White Mountains. With more enthusiasm than equipment, they hiked Mount Washington—the highest peak in the Northeast.
Something powerful happened on that mountain. The following year, Camp Or L’Dor was officially born.
From the beginning, these ideas have guided what camp is all about: Yeshua and Jewish life are inseparable, Jewish life through Yeshua happens best in community, and outdoor adventure is a catalyst for transformation.
Over the years, camp has grown. We’ve laughed, loved, cried, and been transformed. We’ve developed our own camp siddur, introduced healing prayer services, and built a leadership training program for our 17 and 18 year olds—along with much more.
Today, Camp Or L’Dor continues to grow beyond the summer. IIn addition to our teen program, we are developing an alumni network and year-round camp community—and we hope to launch a kids camp in the future.
Our youth are our future. We are committed to helping them encounter G-d, build strong community, and create lasting memories filled with joy, growth, and adventure.
“Camp is a time where we learn where to stand in G-d’s Presence. I was able to encounter Him in ways I cannot describe. He knows what I need. ”
